ABOUT US
Founded in 1869, P.E.O. has grown into one of North America's largest women's philanthropic organizations. Today, the Sisterhood includes nearly 6,000 local chapters and more than 225,000 members across the United States and Canada, all united in supporting women through education, friendship, and philanthropy. Through a variety of scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and educational programs, P.E.O. has helped hundreds of thousands of women of all ages advance their education—from undergraduate and graduate studies to career advancement and continuing education. P.E.O. members are united by a shared commitment to celebrating, supporting, and motivating women. Local chapters build lifelong friendships while serving their communities through philanthropy and educational outreach.
